In recent months I have watched those around me up their game. They have pivoted, plummeted, regrouped, reimagined, and Retuned. They have become writers, educators, nurses, winemakers, musicians, builders, brainstormers, botanists. Believers. Biked across the country. They are running for public office, plunging into local politics. They are joining football teams, learning bass. They are shaving their heads, cropping their hair. Dying their eyebrows purple (that’s brave!). They are walking away from bad deals. They are making commitments. Keeping promises. Going public.

They are putting themselves directly in the face of judgment and self-doubt. They are doing what they want to become.

I am inspired.
